Wurts Street Bridge to be Closed for Inspection

The New York State Department of Transportation will perform a detailed inspection of the suspension bridge carrying Wurts Street over Rondout Creek in the City of Kingston. The Wurts Street Bridge inspection is scheduled to occur Monday, November 6, 2017 through Friday, November 10, 2017 and Monday November 13, 2017 through Friday November 17, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. each day. Traffic will be detoured to Route 9W during the closure periods. This detailed inspection is being performed for future repair work on the Wurts Street bridge. To perform the inspection, the bridge will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Options for integration as well as improved bus routing proposals will be presented at a Public Workshop on Monday, November 13th at Kingston City Hall from 4 to 7pm.
