Kingston Fire Department’s New Truck 1 Arrives #KingstonNY

Mayor Noble and Fire Chief Mark Brown at the Wiltwyck Fire Station on Frog Alley in Kingston, New York. New Truck 1 Spartan/Smeal 105ft. Tiller manufacturer Smeal Fire Apparatus by Spartan for Kingston Fire Department.

Daily Freeman. reported: The truck, with a price tag of $950,000, was assembled for the department at a manufacturing plant in Ephrata, Pa. It replaces a ladder truck that dates to 1998 and has been beset by breakdowns in recent years.

Shamrock run honors Bob Ryan in Kingston, NY

Hudson Valley Irish community leaders will salute Bob Ryan prior to the start of the 2 mi. “flat, fast and first class” Shamrock Run, marking its 30th anniversary on Sunday.. 2018 Honoree is Bob Ryan, one of the three founders of the annual run. He was the race director for the first 25 years. His insurance business, Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers Inc. - now marking its 60th anniversary, has been a major sponsor for all three decades. Ryan is an ardent runner with multiple marathons under his belt.
