Notice of Water Service Interruption in Vicinity of the 587 Roundabout
KINGSTON, N.Y. – In anticipation of the work on the 587 Roundabout that is scheduled to begin on or about March 1, 2020, the Kingston Water Department will be doing work on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 to ensure that we have control of the water supply within the DOT work zone. This will mean that some of our customers may experience brief periods of rusty water or no water at various times throughout the day. All service will be restored on or before 3PM that afternoon. No interruption in water supply should last more than an hour.
Those customers that will be impacted by our work on Wednesday February 5 th will include:
- Broadway from Maiden Lane to Elmendorf St.
- East St. James St.
- St. James Court
- Albany Avenue from East St James to the intersection of Maiden Lane. The dialysis center will not be impacted.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but by doing this work on Wednesday, it will allow us to be able to take steps to isolate the water supply within the project’s work zone so that the inconvenience to our customers is minimized over the course of the project.
