Niskayuna has been sued by the DEC for excessive run off and regularly has drainage at 95% of capacity why would the DEC allow it to continue to build when it’s run off to the Mohawk is part of the reason for at least the destruction in Schenectady…500 year flood plan should be the new requirement for any and all construction and maintenance of dams activists in Alaska are also using the “cumulative effect” i.e. the more you build the less room for water to go and it’s sped up…if DEC and places like Niskayuna don’t comply they should be forced to pay 100% of the fair market value off losses…thus if a home is $300,000 is destroyed then that’s the price to pay whatever the tax rolls say…and for environmental damage people need to go to jail same if people die or are injured do to the willful negligence
