Supervisor Declares State of Emergency in East Kingston #Ulster

A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Hamlet of East Kingston, Town of Ulster, effective at 12 PM on September 9, 2019. The State of Emergency has been declared due to the Imminent Danger posed to the public and public property by the Rock Slope Failure on the West Side of Main Street on a parcel of property owned by Tilcon Minerals, Inc, and operated by Callanan Industries, Inc., as a stone quarry between the intersection of Railroad Avenue and East Kingston Firehouse at 885 Main Street. The situation threatens public safety. The Declaration and Local Emergency Order are attached. The State of Emergency will remain in effect for thirty days or until rescinded by a subsequent order.
