Bridge rehabilitation on Old Route 9W both directions between Connelly Road (Kingston) and Abeel Street (Kingston) 20190879639 -WURTS STREET BRIDGE CLOSED - Motorists are advised to follow posted detour. Plan travel accordingly, delays may exist, Continuous Friday January 1st, 2021 12:00 AM thru Friday December 31st, 2021 11:59 PM all lanes closed

Opened in 1921, the Wurts Street (Port Ewen) Bridge is the ONLY suspension bridge in New York State under the maintenance of the NYSDOT. About 5000 cars per day use the bridge. In 1980 it was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
